Early voting to elect San Diego's next mayor began Monday, Oct. 21, when the San Diego County Registrar of Voters mailed more than 350,000 ballots to eligible voters. Between then and election day on Nov. 19, San Diegans cast early ballots by mail and in person at the Registrar's office. The final citywide early voting rate was 44.69 percent. Of the 367,765 early ballots issued, 164,357 were returned. The map on the right shows early voting rates by precinct.
