Early voting to elect San Diego's next mayor began Monday, Jan. 13, when the San Diego County Registrar of Voters mailed more than 300,000 ballots to eligible voters. Between then and election day on Feb. 11, San Diegans will be casting early ballots by mail and in person at the Registrar's office. The current citywide early voting rate is 47.9 percent. Of the 350,765 early ballots issued, 167,983 have been returned. The map on the right shows early voting rates by precinct.
