The city of San Diego responded to an inewsource records request by releasing a heavily redacted document containing meeting notes related to a fatal police shooting.

In response to an inewsource records request, the city of San Diego released a one-and-a-half-page memo that is almost completely blacked out.

The document contains a police captain’s meeting notes related to the fatal shooting of Fridoon Nehad last April. But the extensive redactions make it impossible to tell what was discussed at the meeting.

The only thing we know is that the document was time-stamped hours after a federal judge ruled that Nehad’s family could release a surveillance video of the shooting.
