Plotting where news happens
inewsource is working with a researcher at San Diego State University on an innovative news project that gives you a chance to win a $20 gift card or check in exchange for your participation! Amy Schmitz Weiss, associate professor of journalism at SDSU, is seeking your feedback on a web prototype she’s building that plots news to a specific location. It’s called geo-location.
To participate, just complete these two simple steps:
1. Please visit the following website and explore the main story in the middle of the page: http://inewsourcegeo.org/newsource
2. After you have done so, please complete a brief survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NT8KZGV
You then will be entered into a random drawing for the chance to receive an Apple gift card to purchase iTunes music or a mobile app of your choice worth $20 or a $20 check. Ten people will be selected.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, and your responses will remain confidential, meaning that no one will be able to connect your answers with your identity.
