Look for our Follow the Money reporter on tonight’s KPBS election special

Dear fans of inewsource,

You’ve heard inewsource investigative reporter Joe Yerardi say that San Diego’s mayoral election was turning into a real horse race.

You may have spotted him last night on Evening Edition reporting on the pre-election tallies that show two Democrats — former assemblyman Nathan Fletcher and Councilman David Alvarez — running neck and neck in the race for campaign money. The latest polls also show them in a close race for second place, with Republican Kevin Faulconer in the lead.

Now you can catch Joe tonight on KPBS (Channel 11) from 8 to 8:30 p.m. as part of the team providing live election coverage. He’ll discuss the big spending so far and how much more cash might be raised if there’s a runoff, as expected. He’s also ready to explain how the campaign disclosure rules change in a runoff.

You can check the latest updates to his interactive graphic, fund-raising map and searchable database of contributors here.
