Dear friends of inewsource,

We are delighted to share with you that Stephanie Bergsma, former associate general manager at KPBS, has joined the inewsource Board of Directors.  As you may know, Stephanie was instrumental in developing the partnership that began nearly four years ago between inewsource and KPBS to foster in-depth investigative journalism in San Diego. Her unparalleled experience in nonprofit media organizations will be invaluable as we work to financially sustain and grow inewsource.

During her 26 years at KPBS, Stephanie was responsible for, among other things, major gifts and underwriting for local production. Stephanie was also instrumental in raising funds for the KPBS Copley Telecommunications Center which is now home to inewsource.

In addition to her work in public broadcasting, Stephanie has been involved in a broad range of San Diego institutions such as the Museum of Photographic Arts, Francis Parker School and Voices for Children.

As a member of the inewsource board of directors, Stephanie is committed to ensuring the future of independent, unbiased investigative journalism. “I believe inewsource is THE local organization that we can trust to dig deep and to provide quality, data-driven investigative reporting,” she said. “I’m thrilled the partnership that we began four years ago is flourishing today.”

Stephanie joins a group of dedicated community leaders on the inewsource board.  We are grateful to all of them for their vision and support. (see the complete list of our spectacular, dedicated board members below with links to their bio’s)
