We’re excited to announce a new partnership, starting tonight, between inewsource and CBS 8 — San Diego’s top commercial TV station.

“CBS News 8 strongly believes in local, investigative journalism,” said Dean Elwood, the station’s news director. “We are excited to partner with inewsource to keep San Diego county residents enlightened and informed about important stories that affect their lives.”

inewsource reporter Ingrid Lobet’s story on San Diego’s disappearing forests (not the magic kind) will air on CBS TV and web tonight at 11pm. With this partnership, which has been in the works for months, we hope to extend inewsource’s work to an entirely new audience and continue embedding our brand in the local news scene.

While this is great news for our team, it’s also just the beginning. Stay tuned for several more equally exciting announcements — and terrific stories — in the coming months.
