LEAP, short for Lead, Execute, Accelerate, Pivot, is designed to help senior managers update or entirely change their growth strategy, ultimately increasing their news organizations’ impact.

Hearn believes inewsource is at a pivotal place in its development, and hopes this training will help her move it to the next level.

“There’s an exciting group of newsroom leaders that I think I’m really going to learn a lot from, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to help them with their challenges too,” Hearn said.

The member executives will work together with business coaches and experts to strengthen their strategic planning and decision-making.

“One of the things we really want to do at inewsource is build our data capacity, to do even more data-driven journalism. In order to do that, we’re going to need more resources, and I need to figure out not only how to get those resources, but also how to manage this new, bigger organization,” Hearn said.

First session will be held in Philadelphia, PA, on Oct. 2-3.
