Have you heard the news? Our team at inewsource has launched a new beat to cover public education in San Diego with a focus on serving Latino families and producing news that keeps you informed and holds education leaders to account.

We need your help!

Are you a student, parent, teacher or employee of the education system in San Diego or were you once? Do you have other ties to schools here? We’d like to hear from you. We also know that oftentimes the most vulnerable voices in education go unheard, and we want to make sure your voice is included in our reporting.

Help us cover San Diego education by telling us what issues and topics are most important to you. You can also help by sharing our survey.

We’re interested in a range of topics, including school safety and security, challenges facing the teacher workforce, the condition of school properties, student enrollment trends and achievement gaps, disciplinary policies, equity issues and special education.

Our main focus will be San Diego Unified, California’s second largest school district. But we’ll also take tips about any schools in the county’s 42 districts.

If you have a tip you’d like to share but would like to remain anonymous, we can assure you that your identity will only be published upon your consent.
