Dear readers,
Let me be the first to welcome you to the inewsource new site experience that will be launching this week. Over the past year, our team has worked diligently in looking at ways we can improve our site for our readers.
In initiating this quest, we realized that it was a unique opportunity to not only create a new look and feel to our site, but to also adopt a new, proactive mindset in discovering better ways we could increase the reach and engagement of our content.
Over the next week, our content and product managers will be speaking to these findings and strategies in greater detail related to our coverage area refocusing and product integrations. These teams were assembled to elevate our overall platform presence and publishing strategies by increasing the accessibility, readability and optimization of our content and products.
At a high level, our primary goals through this design refresh were to:
- Improve site-wide content categorization and presentation through a sleeker and cleaner design.
- Simplify navigation with new listings and naming conventions for enhanced content accessibility.
- Create new user pathways so that supporters can find valuable resources.
In addition to these upgrades, our site will embody new branded fonts to enhance the visual appeal of our articles and headlines, as well as new modules and landing pages to optimize the reader journey across inewsource.org.
We are excited to launch our new site design for our readers and have a lot of new developments that we will be rolling out over the next few months to ensure that we are getting the most out of our product and providing the best reading experience.
As you dive in and explore, there will be opportunities for you to provide feedback so that we can continue to shape and innovate our site! Your opinions are welcomed and embraced as your responses could lead to more enhancements.
Our team and internal stakeholders are committed to embracing the evolution of the media landscape, as well as news media trends with our audience at the forefront.
With that said, this is just the beginning with much more to come. We are extremely grateful for your readership and support.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your local news diet!
